Hello!

I wish we could be speaking under better circumstances, but alas.

Thanks to hate group Collective Shout threatening payment processors Visa and Mastercard, itch.io has started removing NSFW and LGBT games from the site.  As of writing, Courting Death and its side stories remain up.   This does not convince me that it could not be removed in the future.

Since I am in the position of making games as a hobby and not to earn a paycheck, I have decided to set Courting Death and its side stories to strictly Free to Download; there will be no paid option.  The OSTs/Art Book that were once bonus goodies if you paid a bit are now free as well!

Honestly, I had considered going this route from the jump anyways.  We were considering putting Courting Death out purely on a dedicated simple website as a free download.  After all, this is how I found games that inspired me as a young person (Cave Story, Yume Nikki).

The main reason we opted for itch.io was so that players would not have to stress about dodgy links, fearing malware. (A totally valid fear.)

I will do my best to keep an eye on the games, and if we do end up eventually getting pulled down: we will just have to go with a direct site like we first talked about.  At the very list a Google Drive or equivalent link.

Thank you to everyone who did donate before this, I only made about 200 bucks but hey that ain't nothin!  I took my wife out to dinner with that.  We're very grateful.

If you still want to support me and my work...there's still so much you can do!  Draw fan art!  Listen to the OSTs!  Review the games or write about them!  Share with your friends and loved ones!  

It's a rough time in the world, but we have to keep our heads up.  I will be okay, and I want you to be too.  Just do what you can.

...and if you have some time, maybe call Visa and Mastercard and gently complain about what is being done.
